Dublin Zoo would like to invite you to suggest a name for a young female snow leopard that arrived at the Zoo earlier this year. The, yet-to-be-named, female is two years old and came from a zoo in the Czech Republic. Fans can submit their suggested names, which should be based on the snow leopard's Asian origin, to www.facebook.com/dublinzoo and be in with a chance to win a family pass. The female snow leopard has been paired with a seven year old male, named Kimo, who arrived from a zoo in Germany at the same time. Both snow leopards, who have already shown interest in each other, have come to Dublin Zoo as part of the international breeding programme. (Photo by Patrick Bolger/PA Ware)

Savanah, the one-and-a-half-year-old cheetah and Max, who is just a few weeks younger, were put together when Savanah was just 10-weeks-old. Ever since, their friendship has amazed visitors at Cincinatti Zoo, who are delighted but confused as to why the spotted beast hasnt eaten the dashing hound. So, when it snowed, Savanah and Max just like young children were very excitable and wasted no time playing in the snow. (Photo by Caters News Agency)

This photo provided by the San Diego Zoo Safari Park shows a pair of lion cubs born on December 6, 2013, at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park Monday, December 16, 2013, in their play area at the animal care center. The brother and sister, whose mother, Oshana, wasn't giving them the attention they needed to thrive, are receiving bottles of kitten-starter formula every two hours from animal care staff. Today the female cub weighed 3.5 pounds and the male cub weighed 5.5 pounds after their 8 a.m. feeding. The cubs are viewable for short periods of time at the animal care center at the Safari Park at 10 a.m. and noon. However, the cubs, like adult lions, are averaging about 20 hours of sleep per day. They will remain a pair and learn to be lions together. When they're ready, animal care staff will work on training behaviors that will help staff assess their health.
