Using a crane, employees of the company “Muehlenbau Schumann” insert a new shaft into the “Frohnau hammer” in Annaberg-Buchholz, Germany, November 3, 2014. The shaft measures over 9 meters and was produced from a 270-year-old oak trunk weighing over ten tons. The motor element is the most important part of a hammer works, dating back to the 17th century.
