With the Sinhalese and Tamil New Year to be celebrated in mid-April, fireworks manufacturers try to put out their safest and loudest fire crackers which are traditionally used to herald the various auspicious times involved in the celebration process. Though accidents caused by fireworks have been so far minimized by awareness raising campaigns and hospitals island wide are on alert for any firework related accidents thay mighy happen during the festive seasons throughout the year.
