Hundreds of pilgrims have being waiting outside the Saint Savvas state cancer hospital in Athens for the arrival of the relics of Saint Barbara (Agia Varvara in Greek) forcing the police to divert traffic around the hospital. A silver casket, containing the holy relics of Saint Barbara, which has been kept in Venice for the last thousand years, came in Athens last Sunday and will remain in the Holy Pilgrimage until Sunday, May 24, 2015.
