Damien Hirst's statue, Charity (2002-2003), is installed opposite the Gherkin in London's Square Mile, Britain, July 4, 2015. The artwork is modelled on The Spastic's Society (now the charity Scope) collection boxes which were commonly found outside local chemists in the 1960s and 1970s, according to the artist's website. “Charity” will be featured in Sculpture in the City, a yearly public art exhibition, which launches on July 9, 2015.
