In this May 10, 2015 photo a Turkish man takes a photo of himself with a statue of an Ottoman prince taking a selfie with a cellphone erected in Amasya, Turkey. The statue has met swift and violent criticism and just days after it was erected, vandals – perhaps offended by disparagement of Ottoman history – have hacked off the phone and the prince's sword.
