A researcher retrieves a NUSwan (New Smart Water Assessment Network) autonomous watercraft that is disguised as a swan to monitor water quality at a reservoir in Singapore August 12, 2015. The robot swans, developed by a team of researchers from the National University of Singapore's Environmental Research Institute, blend into the environment, using GPS to navigate their way in a water body to test water quality and watch for pollutants and contaminants. They transfer real time date through WiFi-network in range and return to shore autonomously to recharge batteries. Singapore currently imports about 62 percent of its water supply from Malaysia in a bilateral agreement that will expire in 2061. The remaining supply for the city-state of 5.4 million people are met through rainwater collection, desalination and water reclamation. (Photo by Edgar Su/Reuters)
