The National Environment Agency of Singapore today reported a 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) reading of 152. Air quality with PSI reading between 101 and 200 is termed 'unhealthy' by the agency. The haze is caused by smoke from slash-and-burn farming practices in Indonesia and is blown across the Straits of Malacca by the seasonal monsoons. (Photo by Wallace Woon/EPA)
