The mortal remains of soldiers who died in the Battle of Luetzen in 1632 pictured in the mass grave of the battle at the state museum in Halle/Saale, Germany, 22 September 2015.The 1.5-tonne-heavy block tomb that contains the remains of 47 soldiers will be showcased in a special exhibition entitled “Krieg – eine archaeologische Spurensuche” (lit. War – An archaeological quest for traces) set to run from 06 November 2015 to 22 May 2016. A total of 10,000 soldiers died during the battle, including King Gustav II Adolf of Sweden.
