A Look at Life in China

A Chinese worker puts a head on a doll at a toy factory on September 17, 2015 in Xietang, Zhejiang Province, China. Many of the toy factories in the area have seen a sharp decrease in orders from Europe and Latin America in 2015, with many saying that a decline in Russia's currency and inflation in South America being the main reason. Data showing a steady decline in China's manufacturing activity continue to feed concerns the world's second largest economy has lost momentum. Global unease has triggered volatility on stock markets and underpinned weaker economic data in countries dependent on China's growth. In a bid to shore up prospects, China's government has attempted to shift its economy away from traditional manufacturing to the service sector and domestic consumption.
