Unseasonal hot temperature and winds sparked dozens of bushfires across Victoria. Some 190 homes were threatened by bushfires out of control in the Australian state of Victoria with one home destroyed, authorities and news reports said. One of the biggest fires was started by rural fire brigades as a controlled burn two days ago about 80 kilometres north of Melbourne, but strong winds and high temperatures helped the blaze jump containment lines and push it across a wider area.
