Black Friday

(L-R) Mariecia Wilkinson and sister Makima Wilkinson drag their 40 and 50 inch flat screen tv's through the store at the Black Thursday sale at the Best Buy in Alexandria, VA on November 26, 2015. Retailers seem freshly optimistic about the importance and durability of brick-and-mortar stores in the e-commerce era. It turns out, many years into the online shopping revolution, there are just some things that shoppers prefer to touch, feel and test before they buy them. Today's black Thursday was orchestrated to be very anti-stampede with a drastic reduction in waiting line to get into the sale. Some of the earlier waiters received certificates outside to reduce any rushing for products when doors opened. Turns out, online shopping is done to look at reviews, prices so that by the time they reach the brick and mortar stores, they already know what they want to buy.
