A picture taken on 08 November 2015 shows scientists from the Chilean Artartic Institute (INACH) crossing crevasses of the Grey glacier during a training program in Torres del Paine National Park, south of Chile. Chilean scientists and members of the country's Armed Force have trained during seven days under extreme conditions in the Grey Glacier before setting out for an expedition to the middle of the ice sheet Antarctica. A team of 15 scientists from seven universities and from a research center leaded by the Chilean Antartic Institute (INACH) will take part in a one-month expedition through the white continent. The members of the expedition will stay at the Union Glacier Camp, a joint operation centre inaugurated in 2014 that is located some 80 degrees south and only 1,080 km far from the South Pole.
