The Day in Photos – December 2, 2015

A picture made available 30 November 2015 shows Thai visitors looking at the preserved body of a deceased AIDS patient at a museum at the Buddhist temple Wat Phra Baat Namphu, which is known for its humanitarian treatment of HIV positive and AIDS sick patients, in Lopburi province, 150 km north of Bangkok, Thailand, 29 November 2015. The Temple's AIDS hospice is the largest of its kind in Thailand, providing care for HIV positive patients as well as people living with AIDS. To date, the hospice, established in 1992, has cared for over 10,000 people. The World Health Organization World AIDS Day falls 01 December 2011. Figures by UNAIDS and Thailand's Disease Control Department show that there are more than 400,000 people living with HIV+ in Thailand, with roughly 90 percent of them having contracted the virus through unprotected sex.
