Cars are stuck in traffic during the fourth day of the implementation of the odd-even pollution reduction scheme for vehicles in New Delhi, India, 04 January 2016. Authorities in New Delhi launched a plan to limit the number cars on the roads to tackle alarming levels of pollution in the city. Under the 15-day trial initiative, private cars are being allowed on the roads on alternate days depending on whether their number plate ends with with an odd or even number. The restrictions will be implemented from 8 am to 8 pm (Indian time) on all days except Sunday. Violators will be fined 2,000 rupees (30 US dollars). The Indian capital, with an estimated population of 17 million, was the most polluted city in the world in 2014 according to the World Health Organization (WHO). (Photo by Harish Tyagi/EPA)
