According to a study by the European Union (EU) supported – “Focused-Food Production Assistance to the Vulnerable Sector (FPAVAS)” project – earnings or profits of local farmers in the Philippines decreases due to unpredictable weather patterns called Climate Change. The research showed that typhoons arrived earlier than usual, becoming more frequent and of greater intensity damaging crops, while in some parts of the country, drought are abundant, had very little rainfall, thus lakes, rivers, and irrigation canals dried up.
