Ugandan Elections

A supporter of Kizza Besigye, the leader of the main opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and the main opposition candidate, lays unconcious in his own blood after being shot by the police, as his friends claim, during a running battle between opposition supporters and police in Kampala, Uganda, 15 February 2016. Ugandan police used force to disperse and arrest opposition supporters on 15 February, detaining Besigye briefly before releasing him from custody. Uganda will go to the polls 18 February in presidential and parliamentary elections.
