A performer is suspended from high-wires during the outdoor aerial performance of the show “Place des Anges” (Angels' square), performed by French theatre producers Gratte Ciel, in Kingston up Hull, north east England, on July 2, 2016. White-clad angels – les anges – appear high on rooftops around Hull College and Queens Gardens, before taking to the air for magical and occasionally mischievous antics above the crowds below. As the event reaches its climax, thousands of white feathers are released, falling from the sky in cascades, to create an extraordinary “snowstorm” for the audience to dance and play in.
