Family members of tobacco farmer Hekmat Khalil and some Syrian women workers collect the tobacco leaves in his tobacco field in the village of Srifa in southern Lebanon, 25 July 2016. Hekmat Khalil, also known as Abu Ali (The father of Ali), rents a farm land of 20 thousand meters square yearly to grow Tobacco, assisted by his family members, he also hire female Syrian refugees to help his wife drying the tobacco leaves. According to Regie (The Lebanese public organization that manage the plantation, manufacturing, trade, and transport of Tobacco and Tunbac) there is about 150 thousand lebanese who live on Tobacco farming, they produce around eight thousand tonnes of tobbaco yearly.
