A lockdown is in place at a jail after a bombing incident occurred that resulted in the deaths of detainees. At least 10 inmates have died after an explosion rocked the Paranaque City Jail on the evening of 11 August, according to Paranaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez. Two Chinese detainees were among the dead. Paranaque Deputy Chief of Police Superintendent Wilson Doromal said in a statement that the inmates wanted to discuss the issue on the transfer of detention cells, an explosion ensued while a meeting was held inside the office of the jail warden.
