People crowd an open market in Lal Chowk, the central hub of business activity in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir, 12 September 2016. Markets opened in some places of Srinagar on the call of unified separatist leadership as people shopped ahead of the Muslim Eid-al-Adha holiday. Eid al-Adha is the holiest of the two Muslims holidays celebrated each year, it marks the yearly Muslim pilgrimage (Hajj) to visit Mecca, the holiest place in Islam.
