South-east Asian nations are cashing in on increasing earnings in the tourism sector from Islamic travelers, and 'Halal Tourism' is reported to be among the fastest growing travel groups. Among other things on offer to Muslim travelers is halal food permitted by Islam, available in specially dedicated restaurants and shops, with no alcohol, and accommodation enabling suitable places for prayer, male and female segregation such as women-only swimming pools and private beaches, conservative uniforms for hotel serving staff, and copies of the Koran in rooms.
