This photo taken on November 2, 2016 in the National Park of the Morvan near Roussillon-en-Morvan, Burgundy, shows a forest ranger using draft horses to skid tree logs down a forest path during a clearing operation. France's National Forests Office (ONF), charged with the management of state forests, city forests and biological reserves, started a costly two-week operation to clean this rare protected forest area in the Morvan region from resinous trees planted in the 1960s, aiming at protecting biodiversity by reducing the environmental impact of machine logging.
