Hundreds of loggerhead turtles arrived in the last few days to the National Wildlife Refuge Ostional (RNVSO) to spawn, coinciding with the births of the latest arrivals. The Costa Rican government decreed rules for visitors and tourists relating to the arrival of the turtles to the RNVSO, which was created in 1983 with the main objective of protecting one of the six species of sea turtles in Costa Rica, the lora turtle.
