Plane Carrying Brazil's Chapecoense Soccer Team Crashes in Colombia

Medical staff from the San Juan de Dios hospital transfer 27-year-old Brazilian soccer player Alan Ruschel as he arrives to La Ceja in Colombia on 29 November 2016, after surviving a plane crash. Ruschel is said to be the first survivor after a plane reportedly carrying 81 people, including the players of the Brazilian soccer club Chapecoense, crashed in a mountainous area outside Medellin as it was approaching the Jose Maria Cordoba airport. The cause of the incident is yet unknown. The Chapecoense were scheduled to play in the Copa Sudamericana final against the Medellin's Atletico Nacional on 30 November.
