The Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Breivik have both appealed the Oslo District Court's judgment of 20 April 2016 as Breivik is charging Norwegian authorities of violating his human rights by holding him in isolation for almost five years. The Court of Appeal will examine whether Breivik's prison conditions are in violation of the European Convention of Human rights.
