Two zebras seen playing together at the Rietvlei Nature Reserve on December 11, 2016 in Pretoria, South Africa. Special animal encounters don’t only occur at big game reserves as they can happen anywhere and at any time. This was the case when Willie Kompagnie visited Rietvlei Nature Reserve in Pretoria, South Africa. “I was just on a day visit to the reserve with my mother and father on the day. We met there to spend the day in the reserve”, says Willie. The family encountered a group of zebras that were across the road. Willie explains how at first, he wasn’t sure if the zebras were playing or fighting. “After a while I decided that they were playing as the remained together after the encounter and it did not really look aggressive enough for a fight”.
