A baboon seen following a snarling leopard in an attempt to protect the rest of its troop on December 17, 2016 in Kruger National Park, South Africa. When there is a leopard and a baboon in the same territory and within a distance of each other, there is bound to be some trouble. Baboons are known to be fierce and at times are fearless of predators that prey on them. Leopards, lions and hyenas are among the animals that prey on baboons. When threatened, the male baboons in a troop would often be the ones to confront the predators. The website Out of Africa, describes the confrontation between the baboons and predators, where the baboons would form a line and strut in an intimidating manner towards the predator. This method of self-defence often puts the predators off. (Photo by Greatstock/Barcroft Images)
