The National Office of Buddhism (NOB) of Thailand will meet with the Sangha Supreme Council on 10 March, for disciplinary action against Phra Dhammachayo, a former abbot of Dhammakaya Temple, who is charged with alleged land encroachment, money laundering and involvement in the Klongchan Credit Union Cooperative embezzlement scandal. The temple has been declared a special controlled area by the authorities. Phra Dhammachayo and the Dhammakaya Temple are being prosecuted on 346 legal cases by police, media reported.
