A policeman controls the firing of the traditional “mascleta” during the celebration of the Fallas Festival in Valencia, Spain, 17 March 2017. The mascleta is held every day from 01 to 19 March during the “Fallas fiestas” and it consits of a pyrotechnic show in which up to 120kg of gunpowder are burnt with a thunderous noise that rises over the 100 decibels for five or seven minutes. The traditional Fallas feast is held in Valencia region annually from 15 to 19 March to commemorate Saint Joseph, the patron of carpenters. The fallas are burnt on 19 March to end the festival.
