Performance artist Annie Saunders performs in Times Square in Holoscenes, a tank that rapidly fills with water and engulfs the performer, as part of the World Science Festival on May 31, 2017 in New York City. As part of the tenth World Science Festival, Holoscenes developed out of a concern that water from itensifying floods, rising seas, and longer droughts will be a central issue of the 21st century.
