Festival-goers have gathered together to play homage to the humble watermelon during the 55th Annual Watermelon Festival on July 29, 2017. The fruit-themed festival is being held in Los Angeles, California and has been running for two days. The day has become a tradition because watermelons have long been the prized crop of the eastern San Fernando foothills.
