A Look at Life in China

People visit a section of the Simatai Great Wall in Miyun county, 120 kilometers northeast of Beijing, China, 23 July 2017. Built during the Northern Qi dynasty (550-577) and rebuilt during the Ming dynasty, the Simatai Great Wall is 5.4 km long with 35 beacon towers and feature some of the less known parts of the Great Wall. It was closed in 2010 but has since opened to tourists in 2014. China's Great Wall was designated by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1987. (Photo by How Hwee Young/EPA/EFE)
