A red-shanked douc langur at Chleby zoo, Czech Republic on September 28, 2017. Red-shanked douc, most beautiful primates of the world and currently the rarest animals kept in Europe. Red-shanked doucs are a great rarity in zoos, only 38 individuals can be found in zoos around the world, with only 5 outside Asia. In the Czech Republic the primates – a male and two females – can be found at the zoo in Chleby. The red-shanked douc langur and the black-shanked langur are both endangered. Populations of all species have declined by 50-80% over the last 30 years. (Photo by Slavek Ruta/Rex Features/Shutterstock)
