17-year-old student, female boxer and “Hafiz” Zeynep Gul Caylar waits for the train at a subway station in Ankara Turkey on October 25, 2017. Tevfik Ileri Religious High School's 10th grade student Zeynep Gul Caylar wants to be the champion of Turkey after winning the Ankara championship in the boxing sport that she has been interested in for four years as well as the achievements she has shown in the Holy Quran memorizing training and poetry writing. Because of his interest in foreign languages, Caylar learned Arabic as well as English. She won the first and the third place in two Arabic poetry contests and won sixth place overall in Turkey. “Hafiz”, literally meaning “guardian” or “memorizer”, depending on the context, is a term used by Muslims for someone who has completely memorized the Qur'an.
