The known as “callejón de los brujos” has become an alternative for the sick in Venezuela on December 22, 2017. The health crisis that affects hundreds of Venezuelans who face every day the serious shortage of medicines, lack of medical supplies and the high costs of medicines that are unattainable for the population. However, many Venezuelans have resorted to alternative methods to science in recent years.A dead end street in the favela of Petare, in Caracas, hosts dozens of patients every day who seek out in "spiritual offices" healers to heal the ills that could not meet the health system of the country. With the popular name of the “callejón de los brujos”, this kind of spiritual path has been operating for almost half a century in the bowels of the largest favela in Latin America, and serving thousands of people from all over the country on a monthly basis.
