Street Art around the World

Vexta and ELLE, Collingwood. Vexta’s coloured shards are a much-loved presence in Melbourne. Recently she teamed with fellow New Yorker ELLE to create a wall in the courtyard of a pop-up cafe operating from a refitted caravan in Collingwood. The image on the wall contains layers of symbolism, from ideas of the feminine (constructed by ELLE from a collage of faces of women of different races and ages), to Vexta’s spirit birds, which represent the currawong and the magpie.
