Teresa Whelan, Helen Corbin, Sgt. Lawrence Lovell, Jane Peterson and Julie Bellus were into this army truck's “innards” in no time flat when Sgt. Lovell, as their instructor, gave advice in car repair, in Fort Lewis, Wash., December 16, 1940. To lift heavy objects from the truck for repairs there would be a mechanical crane which the girls could operate easily.
