Mangkhut, the most powerful typhoon to hit the Philippines in the last five years, has weakened slightly after its passage through the northern part of the country, with sustained winds of 170 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 260 kilometers per hour without any reports of casualties so far, authorities said.
