An historical re-enactor prepares to light a powder cannon during a re-enactment of a Napoleonic battle against allied army on October 13, 2018 in Astorga, Leon region, Spain. Around 1000 re-enactors will take part throughout the weekend in the “Three Nations in Astorga” historical re-enactment, which commemorates the 210th anniversary of the arrival of Napoleon Bonaparte to Astorga during the “Guerra de la Independencia Española” (Spanish War of Independence) or (Peninsular War). The Spanish army led by Marquis of La Romana and the British army led by sir John Moore lost the battle against the French army and Napoleon allowed them to retire and leave Astorga.
