On 24 January, Taiwan reported two more coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to three. Earlier in the day, Taiwan suspended sending tour groups to China as the coronavirus is quickly spreading in China with cases being reported in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the United States, Singapore and Vietnam. To contain spread of the empidemic, China shut down Wuhan, where the virus was discovered, on 23 January and stopped sending tour groups abroad on 24 January.
