On 12 February Hubei province recorded the largest single-day spike in coronavirus-related deaths, with 242 victims and 14,840 people diagnosed with Covid-19. The disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 has been officially named Covid-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO).
