Due to the coronavirus pandemic the Kenyan tourism sector has been greatly affected with international tourist numbers still being on a decline despite lifting the ban on international flights, forcing the government to rely on local tourism by encouraging tour companies and hotels to adjust their rates in order to accommodatethe local tourists.
