Saint Mikulas Day is celebrated on the eve of December 5, 2020 in Levoca, Slovakia. Municipalities and small villages usually prepare a special program for their residents. Due to the current restrictions, many mayors decide to organize a parade instead where allegorical characters of St. Mikulas, the devil, an elf, or an angel pass the streets and greet the kids giving them some sweets too. Levoca is a small town in Eastern Slovakia with medieval architecture and as such popular tourist destination. However, under current restrictions due to the Covid-19 faces loss of its visitors.
