At least 19 people died and another 27 were injured, nine of them seriously, in a traffic accident with a bus that occurred on Monday on the coast of Parana, a state in southern Brazil bordering Paraguay and Argentina, authorities reported. The Federal Highway Police in Parana informed EFE that the tourist bus driver lost control of the vehicle in a sharp curve at kilometer 668 of the BR-376 national highway, in the jurisdiction of the municipality of Guaratuba, 131 kilometers from Curitiba, the regional capital.
