Belarusians living in Ukraine along with their supporters and Ukrainian activists hold placards and plastic gooses during a rally calling “Goose for Belarus!”, near the Belarus embassy in Kiev, Ukraine, 23 July 2021. According to protesters, they brought plastic gooses because the chatter of gooses resembles the name of the city of The Hague in Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian languages (Ga-ga-ga – Gaaga) and as a reminder to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko about his liability for the persecution of the Belarusian opposition. A criminal complaint on behalf of four non-governmental organizations was filed On 19 May 2021 at the Pre-trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.
