One of two Gharial crocodiles (Tomistoma schlegelii) swims in the Orientarium in Lodz, Poland, 11 January 2022. Two adult individuals of the Asian crocodile species, named “Kraken” and “Penelopa”, came to Lodz Zoo from the Safari Park Dvur Kralove in the Czech Republic. “Kraken” is over 5 meters and weighs over half a ton, while “Penelopa” is only 2 meters and weighs about 100 kg.
