Local people examine cars destroyed during shelling on the street in Donetsk, Ukraine, late 04 June 2022 (issued 05 June 2022). Five civilians were killed and 20 were injured as a result of shelling by 40 rockets from the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, according to the self-proclaimed DPR's representation in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) on ceasefire and stabilization of the demarcation line. On 24 February Russian troops had entered Ukrainian territory in what the Russian President declared a “special military operation”, resulting in fighting and destruction in the country, a huge flow of refugees, and multiple sanctions against Russia.
