A picture taken on July 19, 2022 shows firefighter trucks burning during a wildfire on the Mont d'Arrees, outside Brasparts, western France. The fire that broke out on July 18, 2022 at around 2.45pm in Brasparts ravaged 1,700 hectares of moorland in just over 24 hours, far from the more than 19,000 hectares of forest that went up in smoke in Gironde. Up to 260 firefighters and 50 vehicles were mobilised to fight the flames in this natural site known for its biodiversity, in the heart of the Armorique regional nature park.
