A Look at Life in Lebanon

A picture taken with a drone shows the destroyed port area ahead of the second anniversary of a huge explosion that hit the city of Beirut, Lebanon, 27 July 2022. At least 200 people were killed and more than 6,000 injured in the blast that devastated the port area of Beirut on 04 August 2020, believed to have been caused by an estimated 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate stored in a warehouse. The silos are at risk of falling and residents living close to the port area have been warned by the Lebanese Health and Environment ministries to wear masks and stay indoors.
